Long shots are used to show large objects and the surroundings around it.
2. Medium Shot
Medium shots are used to show the object or person in the setting. There is then space for the audience to see hand gestures.
3.Close Up
Close up shots are used to see facial expressions and emotion. These are not used alot because of how big they appear on the screen.
4. Extreme close up
Extreme close ups are used to show an intense emotion or detail, they are not used often because of how powerful they are to the audience.
5. Point of view (pov)
Point if view (pov) is used at the line of the performers eye so the audience can see what the performer would see.
6. Over the shoulder (ots)
Over the shoulder shots (ots) are used so the audience feels like they are part of the performers conversation. They show the emotions of the performer. This is one of the most common shots used.
7. Low angle shot
Low angle shots are used to show how big and powerful something is.
8. High angle shot
High angle shots are used to make the audience feel like they are the powerful ones and they are controlling what happens.
